Class Act Creative has
a mission: to give young authors and artists a chance to see their work in
print.
When
I was a kid,
I was painfully shy.
I started writing and drawing because it was easier to express myself through
art and the written word than through the spoken word.
Writing and drawing gave me a voice.
Class Act Creative
is my way to help give children everywhere a voice. Every child deserves to be heard.

I'm
not a huge company, or a
long-established company. So far it's just me, and the two books I published in
2009, one for an elementary school classroom and the other for an elementary school district,
virtually fell
into my lap.
I'm
as proud of these two books of student work as I am of the five children's
picture books I've published.

Helping students prepare their work
for publication in a "real book" gives teachers and school staff a unique
opportunity to listen to, learn from, and honor their students. That it also
promotes academics and the arts and improves literacy skills is a delicious
bonus!
I
offer two very special "real books" for elementary schools and districts:
The
Student Arts Annual, a full color showcase
of student art and writing.

Wise Words for the World, a collection of student advice
illustrated with line drawings.

I
am also open to
providing services for
custom publications
of student art and writing
based on your school
or district vision.
Content must represent art and writing from all
students in a school, selected students from every class in a school, or
selected students from each school in a district.

Here's how the publication program
works.
WHAT
YOU DO:
- Choose a theme and assign art and writing projects.
- Scan student artwork and text, or type text if
desired.
- Send home provided Parent Permissions for student work
to appear in published form; collect from students.
- Fill out provided Project Fact
Sheet.
- Mail scanned student work, Project Fact Sheet and
Set-Up Fee.
- Send home provided order forms to
pre-sell books to kids and parents.
- Send a check with your book order to
Class Act Creative.
- Distribute books once they arrive at
your school.
WHAT I DO:
- Create front and back covers and a
title page for your book.
- Design the book interior.
- Prepare your students' text and artwork
for printing.
- Send your book off to a high quality digital printer,
who will ship directly to your school.
WHAT YOU PAY:
A $300 Set-Up fee. Nothing more
until you collect pre-orders from your students and order your books.

If you're looking
for a way to encourage self-expression and creativity, motivate young authors
and artists, and create a beautiful keepsake of the school year, you've come
to the right place.
"We're excited! How
do we get started?"
Send
me an
e-mail.
Type "Student Book" in the subject line. I'll send you a survey to find out
exactly how you envision your book. Before
you know it, the publication process will be under way.
